Some love stories start with fireworks.
Ours started with a fake business meeting over Mexican food.

Back in 2023, Ryan cleverly tricked Cara into thinking they were meeting to talk business. He claims it was strategy. Cara calls it false advertising. They ended up at a Mexican restaurant, where Cara still thought they were networking and Ryan was already planning their future.

After the “business meeting” turned suspiciously casual, Ryan later asked Cara if she knew what a mulligan was.
She confidently guessed it was one of those funny little golf hats.
(It is not.)

Ryan explained that a mulligan is a golf term for a do-over and said he wanted one for their first date.
Which came as a surprise to Cara, since she did not even realize it had been a date.

Thankfully, she agreed to a real one, and somehow, Ryan’s plan worked. Fast forward through a lot of laughter, adventures, and questionable golf advice, and Ryan proposed to Cara at sunset, above the clouds, on top of Haleakalā in Maui. Ten out of ten recommend if you love romance and slightly freezing temperatures.

We love each other fiercely, laugh until we cannot breathe, and are so excited to keep making life one giant, hilarious adventure together.

We cannot wait to celebrate with all of you. And yes, Cara finally knows when it is actually a date.
